Utorrent Freezes after 30 seconds.

Been using Utorrent and downloading stuff for almost a year.

Suddenly, over the last few days, whenever I click to download a torrent, my computer FREEZES and nothing (not even the cursor) will move.
Followed shortly after by the sound of my FAN getting louder and faster.

i have scanned for VIRUSES, but nothing is found.

Any idea whats up?

Have you changed any of your security software?

Avast!, Spyware Doctor 5 and Kerio/Sunbelt Firewall are known to cause 100% CPU or freeze/lockup issues with uTorrent.

No, not as far as I know. I will ask the others who share the computer later...

As soon as I exit from UTORRENT , there is never any problem....so I think you may be onto something here...
