Can anyone assist me in figuring out why, whether I choose any preset (say, 1080p frame size), or make it custom, when I go to Export>Media, my output will always be 720x480?

Depending on the codec, I'm sometimes able to change the size, but it just changes the size of the black box that encompasses my video in the output window. Now that I've experimented a bit - it seems that I can correctly make that black border/box fit my video in the output for the Microsoft AVI format, with an uncompressed codec - but for h.264, for example, it'll leave small black bars on the top and bottom, and for just 'Uncompressed Microsoft AVI', I can't go lower than 720x480, only make it bigger.
