Hey, i'm trying to join some video files (all .wmv). Now and in the past i've always used Ultra video joiner v5.2.0104. Output format is set to "same as original video". it creates the video, but when i try to play it with windows media player 11, it says "windows media player encountered a problem..." it never plays at all. I don't get it. The original files play fine, all same format, then joined together doesn't play. I've had this happen before, sometimes the joined file, plays just as good as original, sometimes not. I never use the program to convert, i either join vid's in the same format or convert with a better conversion program.
if anyone knows how i can fix this, or can suggest a better joining software, please let me know. also about suggestions for other programs.....I dont' want a big editing suite, just something that joins or joins+splits video files, small and simple and it has to be able to join any vids, not just the ones that were split by the same program. I also use Ultra video splitter, and have never had any problems with that at all.
for wmv's I use boilsoft video joiner. But the wmv's all have to be of the same resolution/framerate in order to join without converting.
When I have different formats to join I use womble mpeg wizard dvd 4.0. It joins wmv's of different resolutions /framerates with no problems. The only drawback is it won't save to wmv.
I have had that problem before. Check to make sure they are the same size as in the dimensions and the kbps speed. Or try to convert files and then join its.
