Ok, I've got a PSP 1003 with cfw 5.50 GEN-A. I used to be able to play homebrew upto cfw 3.52 but since upgrading over this version I get the error code below.

* 80020148 = PRX type unsupported
Explanation: This error comes up when you try to use emulators, homebrew, etc. on a psp with version 1.52 and higher

I have 1.50 kernel set and games in GAME150 folder. Have tried plaing them in GAME5.xx and GAME folders but still same problem.

Any ideas anybody

i dont know much about 1003 but a few ideas:
try pressing select go to UM iso mode and change that to m33 driver or sony np or oe isofs, again i dont know thats just how mine works , also you might just have to redownload every homebrew and emulator because you are running on something else search google or youtube for your specific cfw next time

Thanks for the reply. Have worked out that the firmware I am now up to doesn't support homebrew. So either gotta downgrade to 5.00 and add on the 1.50 kernel support or wait for 5.50 GEN 1.50 kernel support.

I can't see the sense downgrading now i've upgraded so will wait.
