I'm sorry for the inconvenience. i have searched on your forum and many other places for the awnser but i have heard many things so far.

I am new to most of this. i have done much research and i have been able to do many things on the psp although there is one thing that escapes me. I have read from multiple sources that you need a datadumper or something along those lines to get ISO files onto the psp although i have ALSO read that you can just place the ISO files into the ISO folder thats on your memory stick and it may work.

Im not sure if my psp comes with a umdemulator or a few of the other programs that you may need but i do have one working iso file on my psp. thats pinball.

i have a genisis emulator and working eboot files along with a working iso file. but when i place a second iso file into the iso folder. it doesnt work. could it just be the game itself? im in no umd mode.

can somebody help me?

sorry im vary scatterbrained sometimes and my grammer can be pretty bad if you have problems finding out what i am asking i can ask differently.

wow i have just this weekend got my psp done to 3.80 m33-5 and 1 of the first things i got was a genesis emulator! anyways i had the same problem

you need to turn the psp off and back on whilst holding down the R button.

then the m33 menu comes up go to configuration and there is 1 in there "UMD mode", change it to no umd and it should work

Edit: also forgot to mention you put the iso into a folder called ISO on the main boot of the psp (not inside any other folder)

Update your firmware to 5.00 M33 - 6, this is needed for most new games (otherwise the games cannot be started). once you have this format the memory stick with the PSP - this creates all the folders you need.

.iso & .cso go in the ISO folder, video goes in the Video folder (the first one NOT the one in the ISO folder) Eboots go in the PSP/Game folder

how do you update. i remember seeing a update option in the mss-5 startup menu thingy. but also, when you update do you need to make a backup so you can keep all your files?
