I have not really done anything here at Afterdawn for well over a year. (other than my last post a few minutes ago).
The reason being because I needed to learn C++, School work, 3D modeling for people, etc..
but now I'm back, have lots of experience in C++ Programming, and I am in need of people to aid me in developing a 3D Game for the PSP using the LTE Game engine (Irrlicht for the PSP) Irrlicht Web Site

For those of you who do not know, Turok: Evolution is an incredible FPS game, you may have read that this game was a disaster to the Turok franchise, and It kind of was. BUT, Turok had great gameplay and was just fun and hilarious to play (I Say hilarious because of things like nocking a tree on somebody will cause them to explode into bloody chunks. Its great haha.)
If you have never played it or never heard of it, then watch a video of the multiplayer. it is just awesome and fun. Now imagine multiplayer like that on the PSP, 1 on 1, or in up to 4 players (Or Bots). It would be Incredible.
If anybody would like to aid me in developing this, here is what you will need:
-Knowledge of the LTE Game Engine (Irrlicht)
-Knowledge of C++ (Duh.)
-Possibly 3D Modeling Skills (if I can't do all of it)
-How to follow an outline and work in a team.
-Long attention span
-Will power

Introduction:
Turok Evolution multiplayer will be an online multiplayer game that VERY CLOSELY resembles the real Turok: Evolution multiplayer mode. We will try to clone it as precisely as possible.
Section 1: Main
Introduction Screen:
The introduction screen will consist of three parts:
-Part 1:
This will fade in (from black to white) to a screen saying that in no way did we create the
origional turok evolution and we take no credit for doing so. (fade out to black from white)
-Part 2:
This will fade in (from black to white) to a screen showing the Irrlicht
(http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/) logo with the text: "Turok: Evolution Multiplayer(\n)Was created
using the Irrlicht 3D Game Engine" directly above it, and the text http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/
directly below it. (fade out to black from white)
-Part 3:
This will fade in (from black to white) to a screen showing a list of whoever helps me develop this (after a button press, fade out to black from white).
Main Menu:
The main menu will fade in from a loading screen that will come after you exit the introduction's third screen.
The main menu will consist of three options:
-Option 1: Set up game
The Set up game option will bring you to a sub menu (hiding the parent menu) with game
creation settings (Game time (0 - 10 or infinite), Online or AI, Available Weapons, Level Selection, Kill limit (before win))
The character selection will be on the next screen.
-Option 2: Control Settings
This will bring up a sub menu with the following:
-invert look
-turn speed
-analog sensitivity
you may edit any of those.
-Option 3: Exit
This will go to a sub menu with the text "Are You Sure?",
the options will be "Yes" or "No".
If you select "Yes" it will fade out to an image of Tal'Set
And will scroll through the credits (people who helped me
and the creators of Turok: Evolution.
selecting "No" will just return back to the main menu.
Main Screen Background:
The main screen background will be a 3D View of some dinosaurs running by,
and pretty much look like the actual Turok: Evolution menu.
Pause Menu:
The pause menu will have three options:
-Option 1: Resume
Resumes the game.
-Option 2: Control Settings
This will bring up a sub menu with the following:
-invert look
-turn speed
-analog sensitivity
you may edit any of those.
-Option 3: Exit
This will go to a sub menu with the text "Are You Sure?",
the options will be "Yes" or "No".
If you select "Yes" it will fade out to a loading screen that loads the main menu.
selecting "No" will just return back to the main menu.
If you are playing an Online multiplayer game, the pause menu will only pause YOUR game,
the other player(s) will still be able to play and be able to kill you.
Menu Control:
The controls for the menus are very simple:
Cross: Select an option
Circle (or Triangle): Back to parent menu (if present)
D-Pad Up: Scroll upwards in the menu
D-Pad Down: Scroll downwards in the menu
Section 2: Game
Loading Screens:
The loading screens (for going into game mode) will display an image of the area you are
going to with a random tip for playing the game.
The loading screen (for back to main menu from game mode) will display the Game Title
and a rotating circle and possibly the current progress of the loading.
Game Types:
Blood Bath: A Killing Spree with no goal other than to do better than your opponent.
First To Go: First killed loses, No explosive, automatic, or homing or weapons.
Snipers (ONLINE ONLY): Snipe out your opponent, Sniper Rifles only.
Blast: Get as many kills with only explosive weapons as you can before the time runs out.
Hide and seek: Find your opponent and kill them at a close range, War Clubs only.
Game Options:
From the options menu (sub menu of the "Set Up Game" menu), you can change what
what (non-game specific) weapons you want to be available for use in the level, one shot kill
(true, false), head shots only (true, false), day time (day, night).
Game Weapons:
All weapons have 2 uses, primary and secondary. you can switch between them using the
Left Trigger on the PSP.
Pistol : Sniper Rifle
Shotgun : (hold L trigger to load multiple shots in one)
Grenade : Spiked Grenade
Dark Matter Cube (Explosion : Implosion)
Plasma Cannon (Homing : Lightning) (Weak : Strong)
War Club (Fast Hit : Hard Hit)
Flechette(Dart) Gun : Mini Turret
CrossBow (Explosive Arrows : Regular Arrows)
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer is the main point of this clone, thats why it's called
"Turok: Evolution Multiplayer Clone". It will have a bunch of fun game
modes, weapons, and characters.
Characters:
I will upload Images of all these Characters.

Gen
Wise Father
Raptor 1
Raptor 2
Xon
Jrog
Sleg Soldier
Gameplay:
The Gameplay will be First Person Shooter style. If you need more information than
this, ask me a specific question or play Turok: Evolution (or search for a video).
HUD:
The HUD (Heads Up Display) will be very simple:
It will have a crosshair in the center of the screen, health / ammo in the bottom left,
and a display of your score (number of kills gotten - how many times you were killed)
in the top right, and IF there is a time limit, it will be displayed in the top center.
Bots (AI):
The Artificial intelligence for Turok: Evolution Multiplayer Clone will be smart (you will define
a limit: Skilled, Smart, Rookie), and here is what they will do:
-Skilled: (70% Accuracy)
-will attempt to hide when it is being aimed at.
-If it can see you, and if your ammo level is below 10, it will come after you and shoot.
-If you have no ammo left at all, it will come after you.
-If you shoot past it, it will run and attempt to hide.
-If it comes to a ledge it can jump over, it will try to jump on it. Max 4 attempts.
-If it can see you and you are still, it will shoot at you.
-Will run away if you chase it (in a zig zag formation)
-Smart: (50% Accuracy)
-Same as Skilled, except will shoot with a lower accuracy and will only attempt to hide
60% of the time.
-Rookie: (30% Accuracy)
-Same as Smart, except it will only shoot 60% of the time, and wont run from you in a
Zig-Zag formation when you chase it
Note, All AI has unlimited ammo, but will only use the Pistol.
Gameplay Control:
The controls are Very Easy:
L Trigger: Switch Weapon Mode
R Trigger: Shoot Weapon (or Swing if Club)
Cross: Look Down
Square: Look Left
Triangle: Look Up
Circle: Look Right
Start: Pause (Doesn't pause game if in online match, but still brings up menu)
Analog Stick: Move
So thats pretty much the Idea. I'd be glad if I could get some help on this.
