So My original psp 1000... the chunky one. So I just want to play a pokemon game on here. Yes yes yes I know very lame. But that is where the problem lays! I was looking around on the forms and I found this
"1) You'll need custom firmware.

2) You'll need to get gpSP (Try QJ) and get the file gba_bios.bin, you can get that from filefront.

3) Place the gpSP and gpSP% folders into ms0:/PSP/GAME150/

4) Place the gba_bios.bin into the gpSP folder, along with either the .rar or .gba file of Pokemon Shiny Gold.

5) Go to the game menu on your PSP and load up gpSP, choose Shiny Gold and play it :)"

So... I started doing some research, but no luck, I mean if I had all the files I know how to move them. But custom firmware that is the hard part isn't it? I need to Pandora my battery, make a magic memory stick? So can anyone help me out. send me a link to everything I need? and for the firmware a guide?

This tutorial you found is pretty old and outdated.
Also what firmware do you have atm on your PSP?

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Then you don't need a Pandora battery to modify it, make a forum search for ChickHEN, there are some good tutorials floating around here. But don't upgrade your firmware, ChickHEN only works on 5.03, anything above and you are going to need a Pandora Battery.

Actually depends if you are still on 5.03 too. If you're above the only thing you can do is use HBL, with which you can load some homebrew, no backups of official games though.

Not entirely, the hack is only temporarily, you have to keep the PSP in standby mode or it will go. The hack you need is ChickHEN and there are some good tutorials on Youtube on how to use it.

Seriously, just by a Pandora battery together with a magic memory card. It's not much more than you would spend on a memory card and no one can have enough anyway. Comes with step by step instructions that anyone can follow.
