First, excuse my ignorance. I have spent 2 hours searching this and other forums for a solution, and the only ones I found did not really address my problem.
I have fw 1.50 on my PSP, and am using Fastloader 0.7 to load an ISO of my dumped games. Wipeout Pure works just fine, but Patapon freezes at the fastloader screen. Is this because Wipeout Pure is a launch game and Patapon has some protections built into it? How do I get it to work?

Also, I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I assume Fastloader 0.7 can also be used to just run the UMD off the disk without having to update my FW. This doesn't work either.
One more thing I did not mention, with some games, it freezes at the fastloader screen for a bit, and then the PSP shuts down.
Fastloader is, if I remember correctly, almost five years old, almost as old as the PSP itself. It supported booting up games that needed firmware 2.00. Get a tutorial on how to go to the latest custom firmware, you should be able to load any games without a loader.
