can you actually mod the psp slim? cause i know you can mod the phat psp's... if they can be modded can some one please explain how

Bad thread title, better change it before a mod sees it.
To answer your question: Not all slims can be hacked, depending on the motherboard type you have, if you have a TA088v3 it may be possible to hack it temporarily if the firmware is 5.03 or below (forum search chickhen).
If you don't have a TA088v3 and your firmware is above 5.03 you need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick, there are some good makers for the memory stick, use google. For the pandora battery go to www.dealextreme.com
The easiest and most secure way to tell what motherboard version you have is to look on the DATE CODE field that's on the sticker under the battery. If it says 8c or below (8b, 8a, 7..) you don't have a TA088v3.
