Remotejoy black screen with MHFU

I'm trying to get this to work with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite [US]. I've been googling my butt off for hours and tried 3-5 different remotejoy packages. They all do the same thing, where I only get a black screen in remotejoy. The psp is fine, but I can still use the controls from remotejoy to control the psp.

I can see the XMB in remotejoy but when I load the game then it goes black. I'm fairly new to this but I'm learning quickly, but I'm stumped here. Any help would be awesome!

Forgot to mention, I'm using CFW 5.50 GEN-A (Full). Could it be my firmware?

Edit #2: I downgraded to CFW 5.00 M33 and still no luck.
