I have a feeling that the newer games are unable to play on this firmware. what is the newest firmware, and what do I need to do to upgrade from m33-6

There is currently only one came that has not been patched to run on 5.00, that is the mini Brainpipe.

I still use m33 as running some .cso games on Gen D2 causes lagging. I tried it and that was the only issue I had, if you have mostly .iso it should not be a problem.

If you want to upgrade then you need to go to 5.50Gen-D, then apply the D2 patch. This will play all unpatched games.

it's weird becasue i can play all emulators, and older gamems, but when it comes to tekken and little big planet, it's a no go

As you already have the iso

Look for Yoshihiro Decrypter v4 - that will decrypt Little big planet

Tekken 6 has extra protection and doesn't run on GenD2 either unless its patched
