80020148 - Wont play real FIFA 10 now

Hi Guys

My PSP slim has had custom firmware on it for a number of years. I therefore have been updated when needed. Currently I can play games like prince of Persia etc which I believe needs the lastest Firmware.

In recovery mode it states my firmware is 5.xx Kernel.

Recently I was given an original copy of Fifa 10. I placed the UMD into the PSP, turned it on. I never managed to play the game as it comes up with 80020148.

This confuses me as I have played Fifa 10, Road to the world cup that was downloaded, but it will not let me now play an original game.

It does give me the option to updated the PSP to 5.50, however if I don?t this whilst having custom firmware then am sure that this will not be good for the PSP

If you could please help then that would be great.
