What games are you trying to play? New games that were just released recently don't play on any current existing custom firmware like G.I. Joe.

switch it , or better yet this will work for sure, find an iso download like just search google "jackass iso download" and put it in the root folder in your psp, the folder iso,
it should work but if it dont remember to switch your umd iso mode to m33 driver, it will work

ugh, um really, got the right region, if taht matters, that should have worked, no wait one thing you might have done, last hope here, the folder iso needs to be in caps im pretty sure, and also make sure you just put the cso file in the folder , not the folder,
ex: root/ISO/JACKASS/JACKASS.ISO -this is wrong
the right way
ex? root/ISO/JACKASS.ISO - OR if your got the cso file either one, no folder in folder k? if that dont work try putting it in the game folder , do you got the 1.50 kernal?

If you format the memory stick it will have made the ISO folder.
Jackass does work as a .cso or .iso using m33 driver (infact allgames apart from the newest 5.55 work with this setting.
If it is in the right folder it may be a bad rip or dump, some of the downloads that have been ripped need a UMD in the drive to work.
I always use unripped .iso's and turn them to .cso myself, saves any issues

1.50 Kernal is only for Homebrew and not required for running .iso's, it is also only relevant to Phats (which is why phat's have better homebrew compatibility)
I have Jackass as a .cso (I converted it myself from an iso) and it works fine. 5.00m33-6, m33 driver, processor speed (default).
Try getting it from a different source, if you have a ripped version it can cause all sorts of issues.
The game region has no relevence - PSP has no region coding for games
