I can't really give a proper screenshot of it unattached since i lost my screwdriver but would anyone know how to put it back?

Look right above the red circle, from the pic you posted. To put the yellow strip back in place, just lift the black piece gently with a screwdriver, its just a tab. Push the strip all the way in, then pull the tab down.

If it's torn at the end, then your probably gonna have to replace the strip.

As far as I know it is for the backlight, try if the screen works when you put it back in, if yes, everything is ok, if not you need a new screen.
By the way, is that an Ipod opening tool?

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

So, you broke the connectors. Superglue won't work, you'd need to resolder it. But I would just get me a PSP with a broken screen and be a little more gentle with it.
