Ok so my problem is i got a hacked psp given to me and i didn't want it to be hacked so i started downgrading to 1.5 but while doing so my psp battery died and now i have no firmware at all. all that happens now is the green led for power stays on and the screen stays blank... I can't turn it off or go into recovery mode. What should i do. Btw i can't buy a pandora battery just incase you think it may help. I can take the battery out and as soon as i put it back in the green light comes on. Any suggestions? Or Ideas?

First of all.... why in the world would you go messing around with your PSP when you have no idea what you are doing > <. The PSP was modded and perfectly working .... Why did you want to take the hack off ?!?! If you didn't want to use pirated games all you needed to do is buy your games and thats it.... And if you wanted to wipe out the hack then all you had to do is do a sony update and it would wipe the hacking off. SIMPLE.
Next time you should read or ask before doing anything as it might save you the trouble of this happening again ..... I have learned my lesson with my Wii (thankfully I had a back up of my nan so i was able to get it to when it was working).
When updating or modding or flashing or whatever you are doing to a PSP that will hack it or downgrade it, it is always suggested (BASICALLY A RULE) to have the PSP plugged in to a power source in order for problems like this not to occur. It seems to me that you have totally screwed up the firmware as it turned off while it was in the process of downgrading. You could do this...
Take out the battery then plug in the power cable to the PSP and then before you turn it on keep the i think start button or the one next to it and then turn the PSP on.
If this works then you might be able to get it back to when it was working.
If it doesn't then you are screwed and might have to take it to someone to hack it again.
But from what you are saying that it can't go to recovery mode it doesn't look good > <

It's the R button. Why do you try to help when you don't know what you're doing.
Also if you can't go into recovery menue get a Pandora Battery.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

That would only be useful if the PSP was actually working. With a bricked PSP (a not completely done update or downgrade for example or a corroded flash) you cannot start up as normal. The power led lights up and the screen stays blank. Also what you described only works when turning a soft-modded Pandora into a normal battery again. If it's hard-modded (soldered) you can forget about this too.
