I keep getting error code 80020148 on my psp

Hey im in the army currently deployed in afghanistan and i bought a used psp-1001. Im trying to play umd's but i keep getting the error code 80020148. Please help me.

Hi there. What is your current firmware? You can check it in "system settings".

That means the game you bought is not compatible on your current firmware. But you can update using your umd to play your game/games...

hi, i got the same problem.. i can't play silent hill in shatterred memories.. it just says the game could not be played (80020148). i checked my firmware and it's 3.90 m33-3.. what should i do? please help.

I think it's playable on 5.50 gen-d3. Because that game is new right? All new games is converted or whatever they call it, to 5.50 gen-d3,d2, and so on..

really? tnx so much for the information.. i'm just kinda afraid to update my firmware by myself coz i read some of the forums, after they updated theirs, they had trouble with their psp like they can't play any games, etc.
