My psp wont play Final fantasy 8 from PS Store

1st time posting on the website desperatly needing help......
I Bought Final fantasy 8 on playstation store yesterday, I have managed to download it to my PS3 and copy it to PSP but after starting the game it goes from the (original) Playstation logo to a blank screen.......nothing else happens, any ideas guys, any imput would be helpfull.

first whats your firmware, and if its CFW why did you buy it? if you do not have CFW the i would think your firmware is not compatible with the game.

not sure what firmware i am running. i have a slim psp version 6.20. i thought that if i bought it from ps store it would be ok
