Hi

Im a newbie to this site and i searched over google on how to repair a problem on my psp until i arrived at this site, which actually gave some decent advice,so i signed up.

I tried lots of things but could not get it to work.

I dropped my psp from about a meter high(it was dropped from a chair) and i turned it on to see if it was fine and if it was working but it wasnt dats why im posting this tread,it also might be a bit usefull for others who have the problem.

my psp is 3000 and 6.20

please reply

ps my laser does not move left and right like how it did before i dropped it(its stuck to one side,i tried shifting it with a tooth pick to the other side but no luck)

lots of psp repair guides about.. suggest google.. but I can tell you from experience.. you have cracked the main board in the corner where it hit.. right front yes? .. the umd controller chip lives down there somewhere..
Take it to a proper expert who fixes them for a business.. they might have a chance but the ones I have seen which have been dropped have been dead beyond economic repair (when you can buy full working off fleabay for £60 who pays £60 for a mainboard and another £30 for somebody to do all the work?)
