I have a PSP 1003 here I fixed by using different parts running 5.50 gen-d3. It works but if i go into the internet browser and press triangle and go into something like file and press up/down it goes twice like pressing the button once sends the command twice. I tried a different D-Pad but it still happens. Could it be a software problem?

Having repaired PSPs for years now... I would bet you that there is another button that is stuck. L,R, Home, Select, Start -- I'd start by checking those. May be the X, O, A, B as well... but something is stuck.
