PSP 2000 Help Needed

I have a hacked PSP 2000. The main menu buttons do not work. The memory stick ICON keeps blinking whenever I do power cycle. Cannot go to home or have any other buttons working.

How can I start from scratch and update the Firmware or get it to work?

Not neccesarily a firmware issue, in fact sounds more hardware related. If you dare, open it up and check for any stuck buttons perhaps is my first thought, and in your case more so the bus bar buttons. process of elimination matey.
