I am trying to fix a neighbor kid's PSP. When you check on the internet with the PSP, all it does is go hard to the right. Not other direction works at all. I took the PSP apart and cleaned the inside and still the same thing. If I put the analog in, hard right. Take it out and it goes hard left.

I took a different PSP analog unit and swapped them. It is better but moves really slow when you try to move diagonally. Any fixes or suggestions to fix this?

Make sure that the small piece of silicon on the contacts is connecting properly on all 4 contacts, this is the part that carries the signal to the circuit board. If it is a 1000 then make sure the analogue screws are very tight, otherwise you get poor contact

Make sure the faceplate is screwed down snug and make sure theres no gap between it and the rest of the psp.Im not sure that this will help but in the manual for my psp 100,it said you can calibrate the nub by going to the system information screen and move it around.Try that and restart it or something.
