PSP auto-turn off after charging

I own a PSP-3000 which is hacked. I am using 5.03 MHU CFW. When I keep my PSP for charging what happens, is that it turns off automatically after the charging is done(i.e 100%). When I start it again, it works fine. But, I have to re-hack it with chickHEN R2. Then I see no problems and it works fine. So the main problem is that, my PSP-3000 turns off after the 100% charging is done. Some guy on the net told me that the PSP is programmed in this very manner so that it can save the battery and avoid overcharging. So is this really true or my PSP is at fault?

i dont know what the time frame is but unless you have a game paused after so many hours, somewhere around 12 it shuts itself off. charging or not.
