PSP Freezes then turns off

I am using a PSP 1000 running custom firmware 5.00 m33-6 with a ctf theme.
It works fine but whenever i try to do something to do with trying it freezes then turns off. It dosent matter if it is in a game or in the internet browser but it is really annoying. And i can still get into the recovery menu. Do you know why this is happening? I havent heard about anything like this.

it is very possible that you firmware has corrupted. you may need to go back to 1.5 and work your way back.i had one that would boot straight to the recovery menu, i spent days trying to find a solution, ended up downgrading then back, and it solved everything.
