ok so this is what had happend i just got a psp 2001 model the sliver dax edition. i have already modded it with gen-d3 so i bought a red housing case form dealextreme.com and a battery and a charger so i switched out the old housing for the new one very carefully no to mess anything up so i changed it out and it would turn no and then turn off again so i tried it a few more times finaly i thought i had fixed it so then i charged the psp via usb cable to the computer mind you i for got to put back the metal plates in the psp. so it was charging just fine then it went off and hasn't turned on again i have switched out the battery and still nothing and the new battery i have i put it in my friends psp and it wont start his up so i think the battery is dead but i was at 58% before the psp turned off for good is there any suggestions or and help i can get i have already opened the psp up so that is no issue i just don't feel like spending 200 to 300 dollars on something i might be able to fix my self ya know...idk if the fuse blew out or what and i would like to have a diagram of the psp motherboard so i could check the fuse if it is possible i have a psp 2001 and the green light or orange light does not come on at all...so i know its not bricked...

You could of possibly blew a resistor if you didn't place the metal plate that goes on the back. Can you turn on the PSP with any battery or using the charger. I didn't really understand some of the parts you said, but if I was you I'd check to see that the power switch is properly connected to the motherboard.
