Okay, I'm having a rather strange problem here. I haven't dropped it to my recollection and it hasn't been out in any extreme conditions. About a month ago, the PSP had a pretty small vertical grayish line extending from the top and bottom of the PSP on the right side of the screen. At that point, google-searches didn't really amount to much, but the problem was pretty minor outside of some slight discoloration.
I turn it on yesterday after about a month of doing nothing but sitting on a shelf to encounter that the problem has grown exponentially.
The screen itself doesn't have any apparent physical damage (like cracks or anything of the sort on the surface), but this is a pretty big problem here for a system that hasn't had an extraordinary amount of physical contact in the past few months. Just my luck that it starts having problems right when quite a few games start to come out. Is this problem fixable in any way or am I out of luck?

Thanks for the tip. Although, while opening the PSP I've come across another problem. This bottom screw is virtually impossible to get out. I stopped messing with it for the moment to avoid completely stripping the screw, but jeez. All of the other screws came out fairly easily but this bottom one? I'm almost tempted to just rip the face plate off despite the bottom screw still being stuck in place even though that would probably be very, very bad.
