Replacing PSP Slim Screen does not work!

I am in dire need of help this is the 2nd PSP screen I have tried to replace. First one had a small crack and when I went to replace it the new screen had vertical red and black lines when I turned it on. I tried 2 screens and got the same result.

So I got another person with a cracked screen and this psp gave me the same problem with both screens. So I took a screen out of a working psp and put it in this one and SAME PROBLEM?!?!?

Can anyone provide any kind of insight?

My light of psp slim lcd is broken,and I have ordered one from http://www.digimartz.com ,hope everything is ok!

Chumk - stop spamming - your answer is trying to get people to waste their money at that site - there are 100's of better and cheaper sites. If you have nothing to add - DONT!

If the screen is not the problem then it could either be the plug (carefully set everything up so you can turn the PSP on with the screen and connectors visible.

When the screen is on gently push the connector - see if the screen flickers or shows the correct picture - the connectors are very poor on the screen. If not then it can only be the motherboard.

Well what do others think of that digiwhatsits!

I think i have this motherboard problem with the PSP 1000
as i boot up the psp the screen doesn't work...
but i try the screen in a different PSP and it works...
sooo the LCD isn't broke
and the back light doesn't even show so it definitely ain't the screen...
any ideas?
