Replacing screen Problem on a 1000

So I aquired a PSP 1000 about a week ago from a friend that owed me money. The only problem was was the screen was cracked but you could still see light through the cracks. So i ordered a new screen and it came yesterday, I installed it and nothing just a black screen but the green light was on. So i figured I'd put the old screen back in to see what was going on. Little to say it was the samething no light shining from the cracks just thegreen light on and sound. Whats going on?

Did you connect all 2 wires? If yes, you might have damaged something on the mainboard. Also I wouldn't bother fixing a PSP 1000, they are simply too old, you don't know when the next part of it will break.
