I bought a SanDisk MS Pro Duo 4GB from Wal-Mart not 2 days ago and I'm having problems with it. When I put music on it will play the song for about 20-30 seconds and than go to the next song. When I look at the song in the XMB it will now show Corrupted Data.

If I connect the memory stick to my PC through my card reader, all the songs I have on it will play just fine. It shows a user capacity(On PSP) of 3813MB and MagicGate Supported. It has read rates of approx. 4MB/s and write rates of 2-2.7 MB/s.

Now, I have a Lexar 2GB and when I copy music from my pc to the memory card, it will play just fine in my PSP.

Edit: Also, I've setup my own media server and have tried downloading the songs over wifi and that doesn't work either.

What firmware is the PSP - early firmware does not have SDHC support (i.e. you are limited to 2GB) later firmware does.

That should be no problem (I use a 32GB)

If it is definately down to the stick then replace it.

Well, I returned the SanDisk and spent $5 more to get a SanDisk Ultra II 4GB. I would have gotten a Sony or Lexar, but they were $16 more.

First SanDisk was showing 3813 MB of User Capacity, this new SanDisk is showing 3904. Sustaining a write rate of about 5 MB/s compared to roughly 2.5 MB/s I was getting on the first SanDisk.
