first, i have tried to search the forum if someone had encountered the same with my problem. actually, my surfing leads me to this site as i looked for possible solution or problem on the net. i have read many forums but this catches my attention so i registered and hoping i could finally found the solution to my problem.

my Psp 2000 (slim) got this weird problem a couple of days after i upgraded my firmware to 5.50 gen-d full, i can say my upgrade was successful since i was able to finish my quest on FF Dissidia. then suddenly it encountered freeze and restart cycle. it loops automatically until the batt is drained.
i stocked it for a couple of weeks or maybe a month and then now i found out my unit cannot boot up using normal battery. but no problem on boot up using pandora. i have verified many batt found to no avail. even tried to flash it already.

is this really happening?
what seems to be the problem?

Does the unit run without a battery in (connected to the mains)

With the Pandora are you saying that it would not flash (ie try to use hellcats recovery program) - if this works then the PSP is working but firmware is corrupted. If you cannot boot to hellcats from a pandora then it is a PSP fault and nothing to do with the Gen firmware.

we were able to flash the unit.

that was i tried to do first since i have read it here but still didnt run without the battery.
i'll tell the pandora owner of your suggestion.
