Hi guys,Lil problem here.[I am a complete newbie[queestions may seem rather sloppy]]
First of all there are 2 things:
1st thing:
i have a psp with 4.01m33-2 in it.In the memstick,There is a file called as c2e.exe which is called as a virus by avg,Will there be any problem is if delete it from ma psp?????.
2nd thing:
I am planning on updating to 5.00m33-6
Please tell me all the advantages and disadvantaes of switching to that cfw from 4.01m33-2.Also please describe how the whole process is done and what all extra files i should use.{I do not want to use the wifi update i want to do it manually}.Please tell me if it is risky as well, and if there are chances of bricking,Also describe the solutions({[I DO NOT HAVE A PANDORA BATTERY/PANDORA UNBRICKING BATTERY/MAGIC MEM STICK]}).
you can freely format memory sticks with no issues to the psp but i will say that updating to 5.50 will do better for you since it can play newer games than your current. 5.50 gen D-2 is what i am running and it allows you to make a pandora battery out of any battery you put in it so with another hacked psp it is possible to unbrick but if your use the updaters they have out to goto 5.50 and then work your way up to gen d2 you will be all the way up to date without any issues.
actually i was thinking off goin to 5.00m33-6 from 4.01m33-2. so wat r de advantges/disadvantages? and 1 mor thing- pls tel me hw 2 de update stp by stp

GEN-D2? Why not get the newest one, which is GEN-D3.
Actually 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 GEN-D3 is a total matter of taste. There are no advantages/disadvantages. Theoretically GEN-D3 can run newer games, but the newest ones (2-3 months old, maybe older) need to be patched for both firmwares. Also some say 5.00 M33-6 is more stable and supports more homebrew. I haven't found a homebrew that didn't run on 5.50 GEN-D3, exept from one that was written for 1.50.
About how to do the updates (actually you have to do more than one) there are enough tutorials around here.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
Well thnx,I think i have made up my mind for 5.00m33-6.
and thnx for the info on the tutorials bt i was thinkin is it possible to do it without a pandora battery, magic mem stck since i dont have those and is there possibilities of bricking. If there is possibilities, please advise the necessary precautions to be taken
You don't need a Pandora Battery, you only need one if your PSP isn't already modded. About the brick: If you follow the descriptions there is the same chance about a brick you have when doing an official update.
