Hi guys, I need some help with my 3gs. I was stupid enough to get the official Apple 4.2.1 update, therefore updating by baseband to 5.15.04
anyway, to keep this as short as possible, heres the storyline..
1 - updated with official Apple OS 4.2.1.
2 - downgraded successfully to 4.1 (at this point the phone was stuck in recovery loop)
3 - used TinyUmbrella to kick it out of Recovery.

then i find info regarding the baseband 05.15, and how it cannot be unlocked.
So i start research again. There is a tutorial on "iTutorials[dot]com" to find your bootrom version.
I gave it a try, but something goes wrong.
the phone top left corner says "Searching..." constantly, and after about 5mins, reboots. once booted up its still "Searching..." then reboots...and so on.
After hours I couldnt find any help on this issue, so i decided to flash 4.1 again
successfully done...as expected, it was in recovery mode loop again.
but this time, Tiny Umbrella doesnt work to kick it out.
from here i tried all suggestions I could find online, and no luck.
I tried iREB...RecBoot...Tiny Umbrella...iRecovery.
apparently iRecovery is a SURE method for changing the "auto-boot" to true...tho it doesn't work for me anymore.
Yes I have libUSB installed and working (after some headaches)
I am fresh out of ideas, and have nothing more i know of to try.
Can anyone here suggest anything that might work Please?
Im in the same boat stuck in loop cant get out, win 7 64 bit same itunes ios4.3.3 and base band 4.10.1 i think but cant down grade with itunes any idea????
i had this issue earlier all i did was create the custom Ios then shut my iphone down. Then i pressed home button while pressing home button insert the usb cable. That should take you out of the rebbot process, and into itunes recovery. Itunes will see the iphone in recovery then. To recover the phone press left shift button down the click restore you will get a explorer window open up selct the firmware you made earlier and get itunes to install that. At the end you should get error 1015 the use ireb to kick it out
I used snowbreeze to create the firmware
used itunes with shift to goto the firmware
