How to pair a motorola s9hd with iPhone 3gs

I recently bought a motorolla s9hd to use with my iPhone. I look all around for a way to connect the headphone with my iPhone, but I ca't seem to find anything. I tried going to the setting on the iPhone, and then Bluetooth. The iPhone keep searching, but it never found the headphone. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The headphone is turn on and the blue light kept blinking, but nothing happen. Do I need to buy a separate adapter or something?
