I recently purchased an Iphone from a friend that claims to have received it from a friend who received it from his friend. I'm not sure how many hands the Iphone has passed through but it seemed to be perfectly in tact with minor scratches and not being able to read the sim card. I've tried various sim cards ranging from At@t to T-Moble with no luck. Not knowing the full history of the phone, I thought it would be a good idea to fix the error that was going on so i checked various websites and each had their own solutions. I finally took it upon myself to open the phone and see what was going on inside. When i opened it i realized that the built in sim card reader of the Iphone was missing a few pins.

To me this seems like an easy fix,in theory all i would need would be a soldering iron and a new sim card reader to solder. What do you folks in Afterdawn forums think?

Any knowledgeable input would be greatly appreciated as the Iphone is not my area of expertise.
