iphone stack in DFU mode?

after restoring my iphone to 3.1.2 it get stuck on the screen with the itunes icon and ipod usb cord and slide bar which says " slide for emergency. when i plug it up into the PC, itunes try to activate sim card with a message saying "The SIM card inserted into this iphone doesn't appear to be supported, etc"

what should i do?
