Poor picture recording from cable box to vcr

Hi, I don't know if this is the right forum to post in but I currently have a eurovox box and record from that box on to a vcr. This has been working fine until a couple of days ago, now when I try to record the picture has lines through it and then goes blank as though their is some sort of interference. It does this every 30 seconds or so and is really annoying. I have the eurovox box linked by scart leads to both the tv and video recorder when I watch the box through the tv there are no problems. The problems only occur when running the box through the video.

Any ideas as to why this is happening would be of great use as I have tried changing cables and done as much as I can think of
