Hi, I have a DVD which I need to edit one of the .vob files. I just need to cut some scenes which I've alredady cutted with Avidemux, but my output is .avi and I want to change the original .vob with the edited one.

I'm not expert in multimedia but think that there should be some software to export avi to vob, am I correct? Audio and video are in the same .vob files so maybe is just matter of editing directly the vob file or exporting avi to vob.

Can someone help me? thanks

Assuming that you used the latest version of AviDemux, you select the first .VOB file of the Title (usually - not always - VTS_01_1.VOB);it loads the entire sequence of VOB files.
Set Video and Audio to 'Copy' and output to 'MPEG-PS'.
Edit and save the output.
You now have one large edited MPEG file.
Verify that it plays back ok without sync problems.
Load the MPEG file in the likes of DVD Flick or AVStoDVD and ensure that the settings allow authoring without re-encoding to output a new set of DVD files that can be burned to disk.
In DVD Flick it's:Project settings > Video > Advanced > Copy MPEG-2 streams.
In AVStoDVD it's preferences > Video, check the box for 'keep mpeg2 DVD compliant video'.
Under Audio > keep ac3/dts....compliant audio'.

Thank you for such nice explanation, I replaced the edited mpeg directly on the dvd structure and it worked fine.
