I'm not sure where to post this. The next gen consoles, The PS4 and Xbox 1, will both have an x86 processors. This is the kind of processor architecture that has been used on desktop computers for decades. In my mind that means they should be able to, at some point, run a version of windows or Linux. Any thoughts?

not sure what topic thinking windows software discussion but don't worry if its in the wrong topic then a moderator will move it for you.

think the new gen will share some programs between windows and console but i dont think it will be fully compatible with windows or linux,.Given time it will be hacked and modded and probably have a custom version of linux or windows that can run on it.
