AVI - No Sound

I've put an .AVI file on my memory stick. The video works but there is no sound.

I've just used GSPOT, and it says the Audio codec is 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 and that it's CBR.

I've used various software to convert the file to different sounds types but it's always out of sync.

I tried burning the file onto DVD, and that was out of Sync also.

I've watched the film on the PC and the audio is fine, it's just on the PS3 that it does't work. I'm pretty bummed because I want to watch it with my family.

Any advice on how to get it to work? Avidemux just isn't working.

Stream from pc to ps3 using either tversity or ps3mediaserver
