can anyone help pulling hair out bought a ps3 tried to hook up tp samsung t.v getting nothing,using a media player through one hdmi slot no probs but won't pick up ps3,needhelp. thanks in advance.

Did you buy a 2nd hand one or a new one?

If 2nd ahnd then most likely you need to reset the PS3. When on standby, press and hold the power button, wait for it to beep once, dont let go and continue holding the power button, will beep twice then shut down.

Now turn on the ps3 and follow the instructions

no brand new what i did was hooked it up to a smaller and older t.v reset it to play on scart,still won't play with hdmi,hdmi channel finds the resoulation of the ps3 but just a blank screen.
