All,

I have been banging my head against the walls for days trying to find a solution for my issue.. Problem: A friend was going to throw his PS3 in the trash, as it would not read any games or movies(including blu-rays) so he bought a new Slim and gave me the old PS3. My wife likes to game but we only had one PS3 in the house so I decided to try and fix this broken one.. I got a drive and replaced the bad one... (Here is where my issues comes into play)After replacing the drive, movies load fine, including blu-ray and standard dvd's. When I put a a game in, it wouldn't load. I set it back to default and started fresh. It STILL doesn't want to play games, unless I insert a blu ray movie in first.. Then it will load the game after I remove the blu ray.. very strange.. It never has issues loading the blu ray's only games.. And yes.. I have tried more than one, and all games work in my slim... Anyone ran into this issue, or have a solution?

Do you mean you replaced the Blue Ray drive or do you mean that you replaced the Hard Disc drive?
