Ok, i will start with a list of problems with my PS3:

1. Xmb blue screens as soon as it boots.
2. Not able to power on via controller.
3. Not able to restart or power down on its own, just sits there with a blinking green light.
4. Ethernet and Wifi are non functional during initial setup, Wifi gives unknown error, ethernet does not detect a cable.
5. Firmware update via recovery menu slowly reaches 35 - 40% and snaps to 100% doesnt restart, as stated in 3. just green blinking light.
6. Tried every option in the recovery menu to no avail, also formatted drive in windows and tried a fresh firmware install.

This is a slim 120gb unit, purchased in 2010 there is no warranty left. I am completely out of ideas any input would be appreciated. Thanks
