PS3 .M2TS Copy Problem

I want to transfer my bluray rip, which is now in .m2ts format, to the PS3 HDD. my problem is that when i copy this 25 GB .m2ts to the ps3, it only copies 1827 MB of the file (also, reading the Info section of file from XMB before copying says that the file is 1827 MB when it is actually 25GB). what's strange is that before this, i successfully transferred a 29 GB .m2ts movie before, and it copied the whole thing in one go. anyone know what's up?
