just got a blinking read light while playing dead space 2. i had some home repairs done and the power surged a couple of times. this was 2 weeks ago. so anyways, i have repaired many 360's with the heatsink issue. did that and still no go.
so i did a little snooping and when i turn on i hear a click in the power supply,then shuts off.

my question is:
with volt meter hooked up to power source and turned on it hits 11.xx volts not 12 volts then clicks(as if a bad relay). i know it runs 12 volts/ and 5 volts. can anyone confirm if the power source is dead?

i did not notice any scarring from heat or anything like that or popping when it shut down, replaced with some radio shack silicone based heat sink compound(they where out of artic fox) even if it was wrong compound it would still turn on til it heated up right?
