I have been a loyal fan/customer of SONY since the PS1. I have litteraly owned every system that has come out, yet still prefer the PS. I have spent countless hours and dollars with each system. Lately the majority of games played have been online based.
Recently purchased Home Front, Fallout 3 and SOCOM. Which to everyones surprise the PSN was taken over. Along with your INFO and CC. I never expected anything from Sony except the best support. Not only did they not tell us our info was stolen immediately so we can monitor our financial situation but the failed to tell us it has been sold on the black market as well.
Now their compensation to all of their loyal followers is very vague. It now says "We will offer A free ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT for a free 30 day trial to PSN PLUS" Uhm are you kidding me. Now you want my CC again. WTF. How about some free content to those loyal paying customers over the past 5 YEARS you A-Holes. This might be it.
I'm seriously contemplating XBox as my now new online gaming system.
How does everyone else feel about this?

If you read my others posts, I say we demand they pay the costs of getting a xbox.
It's not that farfethed to ask that, afterall we've lost trust in sony and their online "experience". So although a ps3 can be used offline and to play some media; the main purpose ppl use it for, online gaming, has for all intents and purposes, been removed!
As this is all sony's fault for lax security and procedures, asking them to pay for a replacement (a xbox) is the least they can do.

If found to be incompetent, which they were, they could be fined $400 or more per infringement. So in fact Sony would be saving money if they did that.

You actually don't need a CC. I paid for PS plus with a $50 PSN card. You can continue to use PSN cards when you decide if you want to continue with the service and to use it for renewal.
Please ignore bigo93 as everything wrong in the world is Sony's fault.I bet he believes that the clustered PS3's that the air force has is in fact sentient and is just waiting, biding its time to rule us all.

hey bigo
how about the slap in the face from japan in general
just sold my ofw ps3 for $150 i'm not giving sony a dime again
but still keeping my cfw ps3 so i can stick it to them any way i can :-)
would you really want them to send you a xbox
they just got caught exporting radioactive cars
who knows what else they are hiding
and why is it that the companies or ports receiving these products should have to scan for radiation when the Japanese government stated that they would not let any radioactive merchandise leave japan (more lies)
http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/05/02/2197021/radioactive-cars-from-japan-arrive.html
http://autotrendnews.info/russia-stops-50-radioactive-cars-from-japan/
but they want everyone to donate to them to help them out because they had a disaster
(that they could see was coming and still built dangerous reactors on fault lines and didn't care to follow up on 10 year old plans to make sure it was safe (really 10 years saying they would make it safe but they didn't)
they obviously don't care about the radiation they are spreading
3 million gallons of radioactive used seawater dumped back into the ocean
i wouldn't touch anything made in japan until i have my own Geiger counter
(maybe they should pay for those)
you cant trust any of them they are all just a bunch of lying money hungry whores with no conscience
they should drop all lawsuits and make their employees go and help clean up their country until it is fit to live in again
down with sony and all japan's products
japans government is sinking billions into their stock market to save their stocks
yet they are making tepco (the cause of all of this) only give mediocre settlements to those directly affected
The compensation is described as provisional, with payouts - expected to be 1 million yen ($12,000, £7,331) per family - beginning on 28 April. (they have been homeless for over a month and no hope of going home to their houses and they have been living in tents)
that doesn't even start to cover their losses
they should quit worrying about their stocks and start worrying about the damages they caused because of their cheapness
maybe the government should stop saving stock market crap and start saving their population

second there is no proof that any personal or cc info has been sold to anyone.

first the psn was not taken over.
( ok it was hacked hardcore and sony took 3 days to even notice) (whats the difference)
sony shut it down to stop anymore damage being done.
(then lied about it all until every other country's government and lawyers got involved) and they were forced to reveal information
second there is no proof that any personal or cc info has been sold to anyone.
(besides all of the claims online about the credit cards having fraudulent charges which sony is lying about)
third at 77million accounts maybe the number of accounts but it does not take into account that some people and i mean alot of people have multiple accounts. i for one have seven.
(they have stated this fact and say the number is a lot lower because of useless bogus accounts and people who think they need a different account for each game they play)(or maybe they have a separate account for cheating)(again why do you need 7)
they say it is around 10 million actual accounts
and now they released another few thousand credit card #'s have been stolen from another sony server
they should have bought that info back if they indeed did get offered it to cover their asses and show customers that they do care about the information that got hacked because of their (superior security)
EPIC FAIL

I know this is a "PS3 everything else" forum buy what does Japan shipping Radio active cars have to do with anything?

-You writing this is a LIE and you know it.
Greenwii, why don't you pirate some more PS3 games "to stick it to Sony"? I feel bad for your kids as your teaching them to be heartless and selfish since your "what has the red cross ever done for me comment" a while back.Hope nothing ever happens to you that you'll need blood transfusion because you know where your getting your donated blood from.
Now your teaching them that pirating Ps3 games is not "stealing" but a form of protest and that 2 wrongs make a right. The world is screwed up as it is and I hope your not really teaching your kids your frigged up twisted ways you look at things and how you should handle a situations. Also have fun with playing any new games. You guys are waiting for a 3.60 hack but in a few days will be over written with a new OFW when PSN is back up. Also Sony has implemented a new SDK to developers so if any OFW is hacked you'll be waiting a while.

cazer, don't bother arguing with these guys. Writing what you wrote automatically makes you a Sony fanboy even though it's just simply a fact. Arguing with these guys is well like this...

I really don't believe "Not only did they not tell us our info was stolen immediately so we can monitor our financial situation but the failed to tell us it has been sold on the black market as well.
What does Sony have to gain by not telling us our name and address were stolen. Lots of
rumor and speculation seems to be truth and facts all of a sudden. Give Sony a hand for being generous and offering many of their customers more than what really deserve.

Really? I have only one. Hasn't Sony stated once that there are about 30 million PS3 with online access? Add the PSP users (atleast everyone with a PSPGo needs a PSN account). I am pretty sure it wasn't 70 Million different people's data that got stolen, but I doubt it was only 10 million.
And by the way, it wasn't the first time the PSN was hacked (Anonymous anyone?) so $ony pretty much knew their security was f...ed up.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
