Apple Inc. has reported that it discovered 17 violations of its Supplier Code of Conduct by foreign suppliers. Apple began carrying out audits back in 2006 when it emerged that workers were being abused and mistreated by a Chinese manufacturer that assembled iPods. Get right out of town... Apple finds that the chinese manufacturers are mistreating their employees? Why in the hell do you think apple has their products assembled in China in the first place? CHEAP LABOR.
If they were really concerned about it, they could have them assembled in America. Opps that wouldn't work, it would cut into their profit margin.
At the prices they charge for their products, you'd think they could assemble them here in the U.S. though.
