Apple Inc. is investigating battery issues arising from updating an iPhone to the v3.1 operation system, following a lot of messages about the issue being posted on the Apple support forums. Users are reporting that after the update, the battery drains very quickly after being charged, and that performing a restore on the device using iTunes as suggested by Apple, failed to fix the problem.

iPods always have had battery problems, they make them so small that they can't fit a high capacity big battery inside. The iPod video is about 2-4 hours for a video. Laptops can do better than that.

That's all that you need to watch a movie. The iPod is not designed as a simple media player that you can use all day...and the screen is too small for video, and the audio quality is very low. Come to think of it, I am not sure what it is designed for (it does not seem to do anything well)...but I assume that iPod owners have found some good use for it.

I'm still waiting for the 3.1 Jailbrake, and now it looks like I'll be waiting for this to get fixed first as well.
A little off topic but I also noticed that 3.0 has made my battery heat up while charging, more so then normal.

Interestingly, were just hearing about something being done about the battery issue, but they should've done more about this, especially since those lawsuits about the batteries causing burns and what not. Now they've got more than their share of lawsuits, you would THINK that the smart thing would be to address this issue as quickly as possible instead of sweeping it under the rug like they have recently. You may run but you CANNOT hide, no matter how good you cover your tracks, Apple tried and they didn't succeed apparently.

Yep they've discovered if they have the latest version that has a slightly better aimless feature it makes them look good in front of their w***er friends who all own one or are going to own one anyway.
I could put something funny here but I cant be arsed. Now GO AWAY!
