The WSJ is reporting this week that book retailer Barnes & Noble is prepping to release an Android-based ebook reader, one that will rival the popular Amazon Kindle for the top spot in the growing market. Considering that the Kindle costs twice as much as production cost, B&N should be able to undercut the price considerably. More importantly, their OS will be open source, so perhapse it will not include the remote censorship capabilities of the Kindle.
