Majority of students prefer downloading music over streaming

According to a new survey of university students conducted by the University of Reading, the overwhelming majority would prefer to download music than stream it or buy it in-store.
The survey of 10,000 students showed that 75 percent would prefer to download music via iTunes, Amazon MP3 or illegally rather than pay for streaming services such as Spotify.

The point was the last survey had the opposite results.
Can the readers assume that you all agree with the survey?
I had not heard of TunesPro before. 1-2 USDs per album at 320 CBR is a fair price. Too bad, like etunes or what ever, their stock is very limited.

Is TunesPro genuine? On the face of it this looks like a cheap plug for a website. I went on it and I couldn't find anything at all, not a single tune. at &0.19 it sounds too good to be true...

I am sure it is real. The deal is they carry no labels just indie music. Some of it is good enough for the cost.

I was at work when I tried earlier, must have been blocking the website. Looks good. These prices are much more reasonable. RIP Itunes.

I've heard that buying music from those places is all fine and dandy until you try to leave the subscription in the past. Then they disable your files unless you know how to change that.

That is called DRM...a lot of providers have this...but no one seems to care since they buy music so terrible that they never listen to it again. That's why they sell music one track at a time...most artists only put one decent track on a CD...at best.
Also, my studies have shown that there is no inteligent life on earth...just humans and dolphins. Dolphins can't even read, and humans are violent, disgusting creatures that spend most of their time trying to control and kill eachother (as well as all other species).

DRMs can be removed right now but DRM removers may be rules illegal next year. I like getting music for free then buying if it is worth it. That will also be a thing of the past.
KillerBug, it is God's will that we are violent. Since we are not killing one another fast enough, we will have to die by other means. Plagues, global warming or something else. This will likely happen in epic proportions. There is a population law in biology that roughly states the longer and faster a population increases the faster and more complete the decline. Are you one that believes that even thought we have lost the ice cap in Greenland 5 times the size of Texas global warming is a hoax?
As usual, I do agree with you. There is no inteligent life on earth.

comparing free downloads to paying for music is like comparing free sex to hookers its stupid.I can't believe 25% still pay to download music.If i could start a website hosting mp3s and movies for download free i would but im too scared of getting prosecuted.As for tunesPro i've never heard of it.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original,yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.

the point i was trying to make is why pay for something when you can get it for free.i was referring to music.i was just using that as a metaphor.

It was contrasting both illigal and pay download services vs a pay-for-streaming service. Of course, there are free streaming services...I don't know why they would ignore them when they did not ignore the free download option (piracy).
This studdy is so incomplete that it does not even proove that people prefer the download route; only that they don't want to pay for spottify, especialy when there are other streaming sites for free. Of course, most probably do prefer the download route, as the songs can then be used with an portable media player or car stereo.
