Netflix streaming possibly headed to iPhone

article published on 2 March, 2010

The survey reads: Imagine that Netflix offers its subscribers the ability to instantly watch movies & TV episodes on their iPhone. I agree... I cannot tell you how many times I have been out with friends and we talk about such and such movie and I want to add it to my queue. They do not even have a mobile version of their site (or at least one that works on the iPhone or WinMobile) and navigating the full site can be cumbersome.

Have you tried the app Phone Flicks? You can manage your queue and so much more.

There are many third party apps, but again, it's a third party I might not want to share my information with. I'd also like to specify whether I want the release on Blu-Ray, DVD or in my Instant Queue.

Flixster does okay with this, but it's a nag. I want something simple, like DirecTV has for their DVR's.

I would love to see a app to watch Netflix movies on my phone.

I've actually called Netflix and asked when and if they can offer streaming via our phones, I love Netflix and use it daily. I have it setup on all of my Xbox360, PS3, Roku device, and eventually will get it on my Wii since each console is in a different room.

I wish the app wouldn't force us to be on a WiFi and could just use my 3G, but I can live with that as I just want to be able to watch it on my phone, since I get tired of watching TV from my Slingbox on my cellphone.

Netflix - (if your reading this) please allow the developers to create this type of app, I would love to use something like this on my phone and been asking for something like this for over a year now.
