Nintendo, Capcom and 53 other DS software manufacturers have filed lawsuit today against four sellers of the R4 flash cart device for the Nintendo DS handheld in Japan. The plaintiffs are looking for an injunction on the sales and import of the device as well as monetary compensation for "losses" attributed to the R4. Here is a radical idea....get rid of the monetary system and just have all the resources available for free use. Then there will be no need for companies to make money or profit and the world can just create what they want because they want to, not just for making money. Getting ride of the monetary system will eliminate identity theft, Chinese counterfeiting, etc. People will then be able to do what they want to do to benefit society, instead of just taking some dead end job to put food on the table. Furthermore this would get ride of most of the court cases dealing with lost profits and monetary gain. File sharing would no longer be called piracy, but just "sharing". And something that is relevant to this article, there would be no need to make flash carts b/c their would be no copyright protection or restrictions on what type of software can run on an electronic device (withing the limits of hardware).

Money isn't the solution to are problems, it is the problem.

It worked in Star Trek, but they had a few key things we don't. Teleporters would negate all travel/shipping costs. Replicators would produce anything and everything we ever need. And a universal feeling of peace doesn't hurt.

We could probably make due with any 2 of those, but I still don't see that happening. There are way to may sociopaths in political positions to "help" anybody.

The ENTIRE society? So, it should somehow become a social moray that the opinions of a business match that or everyone else? No matter one's opinion on the legality or illegality of this situation, the idea of radically altering societal view to fit a business isn't a good thing.
